How does Turbo charger works ?

HOW DOES TURBO CHARGER WORKS ?
1) What is Turbo charger?
1)A system in a car or bike that sends a mixture of petrol and air into the engine at high pressure, making it more powerful.
                              Or
2)In an internal combustion engine, a turbocharger (often called a turbo) is a forced induction device that is powered by the flow of exhaust gases. It uses this energy to compress the intake gas, forcing more air into the engine in order to produce more power for a given displacement.
2) How Does it works? (In my words )
To increase the power of Engine. The movement of piston per minute should increase. The exhaust gas pressure is so Powerful that it can rotate a turbine 80,000  to 200,000 rpm (Rotation per Minute).A rod is connected between turbine and compressor .How it work, When 4 stroke complete and exhaust gas goes out it is direct connected to turbo charger the exhaust gas move the the exhaust turbine and due to its motion the rod connected to compressor wheel moves and it absorb the air send it  to combustion chamber.

*Advantages*
1)This allows smaller engines to put out more horsepower and torque than they ordinarily would.
2)Improved fuel  economy.
3)Higher efficiency , doesn't consume engine power.
4)Significant  horsepower (HP) gains.

*Disadvantage*
1) Difficult to install .
2) Cooling issues due to high heat.
3) Lack of power in lower RPM range.
4)Turbo lag .

3)First turbo car ?
In 1962 Oldsmobile Jetfire V8 was the first turbo car in the World.

4) Types of turbo
1) Single turbo
2) TwinTurbo
3) Twin scroll turbo
4)Variable twin scroll turbo
5)Twin scroll
6)Variable- geometry turbocharger
